How to open a .litematic file without Minecraft

You do not need Minecraft, Litematica or any mod to look inside a .litematic file. Open it in the browser viewer to see every region in 3D, count materials and slice it layer by layer.

01

What to do

  1. Go to the Viewer and choose the .litematic file; it is read on your device, nothing is published.
  2. Every Litematica region is placed in one scene at its saved position.
  3. Open Materials for a block shopping list, or use the layer slider to build it one Y level at a time.
  4. To use it with WorldEdit or FAWE, convert it to Sponge .schem with the free converter.
02

Privacy and reliability

Files are parsed on your device. In the viewer, the original is also kept in your private library after the storage notice and stays private until you publish it; the standalone converter never uploads anything.

TipKeep a backup of the original. Browser conversion is convenient, but it does not replace world backups or source control.
