NBT to schem converter

Convert a Java Edition structure-block NBT file to Sponge .schem locally without opening a Minecraft world.

Maximum source file size: 200 MB. Practical browser memory limits vary by device.

Where the format comes from

Structure blocks export this format in Java Edition. A file describes one bounded structure with its own palette, which makes it common for data packs, villages and saved builds rather than whole worlds.

What Schematic Studio keeps · and its limits

Schematic Studio reads the palette, block positions and supported state properties, shows them in 3D and can export the structure as Sponge .schem.

How the conversion works

A structure NBT normally represents one bounded palette-based area. Schematic Studio reads dimensions, palette entries and block positions, validates the result and writes a Sponge schematic suitable for supported WorldEdit versions.

Check before you paste

Not every NBT file is a structure export. Player data, chunks and arbitrary mod data use the same container format but do not contain the expected structure fields.

How to use it.

01

Choose your file in the viewer or converter.

02

Review dimensions, origin and block totals before rendering.

03

Inspect layers, materials and camera angles · or export a selected world area.

Common questions.

Where do structure .nbt files come from?

From structure blocks in Java Edition and from data packs that ship generated structures.

Are entities included?

The viewer focuses on blocks. Entities stored in the file are not rendered.

Why does a large file fail to open?

Dense builds can exceed browser memory or GPU capacity even below the 200 MB limit. Close other heavy tabs, try a smaller selection, or see Troubleshooting.
